3rd edition of India Today Conclave South at Visakhapatnam

India Today Group organised the 3rd edition of India Today Conclave South on December 21 and 22, 2018, bringing together a host of chief ministers, senior politicians, film stars, industrialists and entertainers all on one stage. The conclave turned out to be a power packed event which India Today Group celebrates the power and potential of the six southern states. Main objective of the conclave was to underline the economic resurgence, artistic heritage, political legacies and cultural engagement of the region. Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu have a combined GDP of over $400 billion and when put together are among the top 30 economies of the world, contributing over 22 percent of India’s GDP and 28 percent of India’s employment.

Eminent guests present at the conclave consisted of N Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh, and V Narayanasamy, Chief Minister, Puducherry setting the tone for the growing importance of their states, both as a political and economic powerhouse. Other political leaders such as Ram Madhav, National General Secretary, BJP; Thomas Isaac, Finance Minister, Kerala; Bhuma Akhila Priya, Tourism Minister, Andhra Pradesh; RA Mahesh, Tourism Minister, Karnataka, Priyank Kharge, Minister for Social Welfare, Karnataka, Jayadev Galla, among others were also present. Among the film stars present at the conclave included Arvind Swami, Aditi Rao Hydari, Rakul Preet and others. Since 2002, India Today Conclave has been at the forefront of intellectual engagement and thought leadership.
