Goss poised to present
new ways for print at PacPrint 09

With the theme ‘new ways for print’, Goss International will be highlighting their differentiating web offset technologies and high levels of automation that bring new opportunities and cost savings to printers and publishers at PacPrint 09 (May 26–30) to be held in Melbourne, Australia.

The new Goss M-600 Folia press, first unveiled at drupa 2008, would take center stage in the form of a video presentation highlighting unique capabilities and ongoing developments. Combining sheetfed and web concepts, this innovative press with new sheeter technology delivers a new way to print a wide variety of coated stocks while doubling the productivity of sheetfed perfectors. The company would also present the benefits of its full range of web offset solutions for commercial and newspaper production including cutting-edge technologies such as Automatic Transfer, pinless folding, Autoplate, FPS, DigiRail digital inking and digital workflow technologies. The environmental advantages of the latest Ecocool drying technology and the new Triliner technology for compact newspaper formats would be among the other unique Goss innovations to be featured at the show.

“PacPrint is a great opportunity for us to interact with our customers and to showcase products tailored for the Australasian market, including the best selling 16-page M-600 commercial web press, the highly automated 24 to 96-page Sunday press series for both long and shorter run commercial publications or catalogues and wide format print applications. The newly installed 80-page Sunday 4000 press at AIW Printing is a great example of how modern technology and automation has delivered competitive advantages,” commented Tim Mercy, Goss International’s vice president of commercial sales, Asia Pacific. “Through audits, press rebuilds, upgrades and enhancements, a greater number of customers are keener than ever to get the very best out of their existing presses without having to invest in brand new press equipment. So, our customers can seek advice of our Goss Lifetime Support team to improve productivity and extend the competitive life of existing press equipment, apart from discussing our full range of newspaper and commercial web press and postpress solutions throughout the show,” added Peter Kirwan, Goss vice president of newspaper sales, Asia Pacific.
