Goss to exhibit differentiating
web offset technologies at China Print 09

Introducing ‘New Ways for Print’ that will maximize the value of web offset printing at the 5-day event China Print 09 to be held at New China International Exhibition Centre, Beijing from May 12-16, Goss International and Shanghai Goss Graphic Systems (SGGS) will emphasize a commitment to the Asia Pacific market by showcasing differentiating web offset technologies that can bring new business opportunities and cost savings to publishers and printers in today’s evolving media industry. SGGS is a joint venture company of Goss International and Shanghai Printing and Packaging Machinery.

“As a global company, one of our sustainable strengths is the sharing of resources and technology know-how across multiple engineering and manufacturing hubs in Asia, Europe and North America. China is an important market for us, and we have built a strong sales and technical service team across the country to offer customized solutions and comprehensive support services,” commented Goss International CEO, Jochen Meissner.

At the show which has been the largest quadrennial printing exhibition in China since its establishment in 1984 and around 160,000 visitors from China and abroad are expected to attend this year, a Goss Magnum 4 press system with a hybrid semi-commercial MV400 configuration and digital workflow will be on display on the booth (in hall W4). This highly versatile press with heatset, coldset and UV printing capabilities allows printing houses to produce a wide variety of work including newspapers, coated advertising inserts and magazines in high quality. Live demonstrations of the WS-C300 book and newspaper printing press will also take center stage. The press includes enhanced automation features developed specifically for the requirements of the Asian market. The company will also highlight technologies—Ecoset dryer and Triliner press technology—that provide economical as well as environmental advantages by adding efficiency and reducing waste, ink, paper and energy levels. Presentations on the innovative Goss M-600 Folia and FPS presses as well as Automatic Transfer, and Autoplate technologies, pinless folding, DigiRail digital inking and digital workflows will also be available.
