Mitsubishi displays new eco-friendly CtP
Small and medium-sized printing houses emphasise importance to low
energy costs and high eco-friendliness – today and in future. During
drupa 08, Mitsubishi Paper showcased itself to these companies with
outstanding arguments and showed principally the latest envirnonmentallyfriendly
developments of computer-to-plate offset plate materials and fullyautomatic
imagesetting systems.
Their drupa highlight was the presentation of the new, affordable Thermal
Digiplate system (TDP) for the lower end segment, which can produce
printing plates on paper base without any chemistry and washing in the
B3 format. The Silver Digiplate, with worldwide more than 10,000 successful
computer-to-plate installations in the B3 and B2 format, was demonstrated
with the new ECRM DPX 4 Eco imagesetting system and an integrated,
environment-friendly Eco developing unit. With this system, the chemicals
are coated on the plate surface in a thin layer, making the printing process
eco-friendly.
The environment-friendly polyester CtP printing plate and related imagesetting
systems remained in the centre of attention at the Mitsubishi Paper booth.
