Line and KIM 6.0 imposition
solution had their world premieres
during the show. For newspapers
the Smart’n’Easy line with
workflow, platesetter, processor
and the new Smart’n’Easy
Ben punch/ bender was
debuted. While for
commercial 50 x 70
applications, the solution
included the KIM
commercial workflow,
Smart’n’Easy platesetter
with high resolution,
integrated punch and Violet
Polymer processor. “For
many years, we experience
a continuous growth
tendency and do not experience
signs of a crisis, because according
to our slogan – Quality builds trust
– we have gained our customers’
trust with high quality products,”

The complete Krause
workflow portfolio was
demonstrated in a new and
fresh structure, including the
four basic versions
Smart’n’Easy Net for local
newspapers with low output,
JetNet Light for industrial but
low output newspaper
needs, JetNet, the high
volume, industrial newspaper
workflow which can be customized
within a project to a fully automatic
workflow and KIM Commercial as
the entry level workflow for
commercial applications.
The Krause platesetters, LS Jet and
LS Performance feature new
innovations that support manless
production: supplied with a 120 mw
violet diode for superior laser power
and with a new design of the
electricity and pneumatic
switchboards for easier
maintenance. The NetTrack module
enables platesetter supervision
within the customer network and
with the Krause Service Gateway,
a secure and remote
service facility.
Violet chemical free was
one of the drupa highlights
in CtP platemaking,
because the cost-efficient
but reliable plate
production is today more
important than ever.
Krause demonstrated this
technology in the LS Jet platesetter
with connected BlueFin processor
live at drupa and therewith
underlined its innovation power,
also with Violet chemical free! The
LS Performance was presented with
new speed categories for higher
throughput and better adoption to
customer requirements. With
FlowControl, they displayed a
security tool, which monitors all
important functions in their BlueFin
processor in order to increase
production security.
