Hindustan Times Media and Burda Druck come together
- set to establish joint venture in New Delhi

To establish a jointly owned print company in New Delhi, Burda Druck (Germany) and Hindustan Times Media Ltd recently concluded a joint venture agreement in Munich. The joint venture company in equal partnership will be the first rotogravure printing in India. As per the deal, two rotogravure 2.45-meter presses, currently running in Offenburg, will be moved by Burda Druck to Indian facility, and it will provide necessary technological support.

The dismantling of two 2.45 m wide gravure presses in Offenburg is set for the first quarter of 2009. In New Delhi, the two machines will restart in fourth quarter of 2009. The annual tonnage of Indian gravure printing will begin at around 50,000 tonnes. Hubert Burda said that pressure commitment in India as an important step in a promising growth market.
