Cityline Express installed at Press Corporation Limited in Ukraine
|
Press Corporation Limited - one
of the largest print shops in
Vynnytsia, Ukraine and its
vicinity – has recently installed
Cityline Express, the most popular
web offset press in this country.
The speciality about this
installation is the fact that it is the
first Manugraph Press in Ukraine
to have ManuColor, remotely
controlled system of zonal ink
feeding with CIP3 software, which
allows presetting ink zones.
With this installation, the company
has got the possibility to print 24
4+4 À3 pages or 32 pages (16 4+4
À3 pages and 16 2+2 À3 pages)
at the speed of 35,000 impressions
per hour, with cutting length of
578 mm and maximum sheet width
of 850 mm. Igor Burko, director at
Press Corporation, commented on
the deal, “The configuration of the
new machine allows us to increase
the number of full-colour pages by
way of printing several impositions
with further collation into a single
block. The main advantage of
CityLine Express is the
unprecedented price-to-quality
ratio as well as the ManuColor ink
zones management system. When
choosing this equipment, we kept
in mind reviews by the leading
specialists of Ukrainian enterprises
operating CityLine Express as well
as our own study after the
demonstrations of the machine’s
capabilities at Poligrafia 2008
show in Ukraine.”
Press Corporation Limited,
specialized in full-colour
newspaper printing, prints about
60 percent of regional editions, i.e.
about 30 items (or 80 separate
impositions), including: RIA,
advertising and informational
weekly; 20 Hvylyn, daily newspaper;
Gazeta po Ukrainski, regional
edition of Ukrainian daily
newspaper; Afisha, national
advertising newspaper; Misto,
informational 32-page weekly; and
SMART, informational weekly. In
2007 and 2008, investments in
production facilities by them
amounted to $1.7 million, whereas
for the following year, at
least 100,000-dollar investment
is planned.
