Agfa’s investment plans for Brazilian manufacturing facility
Belgium-based multi-national
Agfa Graphics has
announced a 15 million
Euro (36 million Brazilian real)
investment programme for its
Brazilian printing plate
manufacturing facility in Suzano.
The company is expanding the plant
to produce complete digital plate
portfolio, including Azura, Energy
Elite and N92 Violet. The capacity
will be increased to cater the fast
growing market demand in Latin
America. Currently, this plant
produces offset printing plates and
chemicals.
With this project, Agfa Graphics
confirms its global strategy to
substantially grow its digital plate
business. The Suzano project is part
of a worldwide investment programme
that began in China, Europe, and
recently also in US, with the aim of
manufacturing closer to the customers.
