Successful drupa for NELA, receives orders from Times of India and Dainik Bhaskar
During the two weeks of
drupa, NELA was able to
close many transactions
with customers from all over the
world. As per Frank Neumeister,
president of the company, “drupa 08
has been a very successful
tradeshow for us. We have a
few more projects in the pipeline,
which we hope to close soon
as an immediate result of our
drupa 08 efforts.”
The company received orders from:
“Times of India” and “Dainik
Bhaskar” both from India; “Freie
Presse”, Germany; “Thairath
Newspaper”, Bangkok; “Zero
Hora”, Brazil; and “Quickmarsh”
from England.
At The Times of India, the largest
English daily newspaper in the
world, the existing NELA
installation will be enlarged and
modified. They purchased two VCP
Evolutions at drupa. Dainik Bhaskar
also decided on NELA inline
solutions. Both of their locations,
in Jaipur and Ahemdabad, will
receive a VCP Evolution with an 8-
position stacker in September this
year. The punched and bent plates
will go on a KBA Prisma Rotation.
Meanwhile, the Freie Presse in
Chemnitz, Germany decided to use
NELA punch bending devices for
complete automation of their
prepress area. Thairath Newspaper
of Bangkok signed a contract with
NELA for two NELA VCP Evolutions
with a multi-position stacker.
Besides, a NELA Ecobender Vision
will soon punch and bend the
printing plates of Quickmarsh in
England for their DGM printing
press. Quickmarsh sealed the deal
with NELA at drupa. Two VCPs
(one with M-capabilities) will go to
the South American continent. The
newspaper Zero Hora in Porto
Alegre in Brazil has purchased them
to punch and bent plates for their
new Wifag press.
