Chennai-based Kapoor
Imaging, a leading trade
house, will be an exclusive
partner to Berth, a Germany-based
leading manufacturer of punch and
benders for the offset market, to
sell their products exclusively in
India cluster. Christoph Theilmann,
managing director of Berth, and
Sunil Kapoor, managing director of
Kapoor Imaging, signed an
agreement in this regard during
recently concluded drupa 08.
Berth manufactures punch and
benders for sheet-fed and web
offset machines. Their product
range includes manual, semi
automatic, optical punch bender,
multiple format bending machines,
benders with shearing machine to
trim plates to size etc, and benders
for metal back blankets.
For 35 years, Berth has been
providing innovative solutions for
printing plate processing. With
“True Point Positioning,” they
developed a new type of computeraided
method, which sets new
standards for the handling of
printing plates. With fully
automated systems for printing
plate processing, transportation and
sorting, one can count on their
technical expertise and innovations
through the entire prepress stage,
whether for large newspaper print
runs or large format reel-fed offset
printing. Innovative and
customised solution are made
according to customers needs, right

Germany, where the bulk of their
production system is run. They also
have a Asia Pacific regional office
in Malaysia in order to meet all
requirements of their customers and

Meanwhile, with immediate effect,
BEIL Registersysteme has assumed
the worldwide sales of the company
Berth Maschinenbau. With this
agreement, made at drupa 08, the
Hessian specialist for fullyautomatic
printing plate processing
opened a worldwide market via the
BEIL Group, while BEIL at the same
time completed its broad product
range advancing to a real full-line
supplier for punching and
bending of printing plates. BEIL
Registersysteme is the company
with the largest product range in
the field of punching and bending
of printing plates for sheet offset
and reel-fed offset on the market,
who provide above all an excellent,
worldwide active sales and service
network. Due to this co-operation
with Berth, the BEIL Group
completed its product range in the
high-end field.
