Continuing its ‘See Things Differently’ theme to emphasise unique advantages and opportunities for newspaper, commercial and packaging printers, GOSS will highlight GOSS and Ferag technologies, recent projects, unmatched manufacturing and support resources at PRINT 13 to be held from September 08-12 in Chicago.

New from GOSS at PRINT 13 will include its GOSS Magnum Compact press to be introduced during the mega expo with live demonstrations of the machine’s cost-effective Autoplate system. “This is the world’s first 2x1 press with Autoplate,” explained Wesley Clements, vice president of newspaper sales, GOSS North America. He added that GOSS has addressed the demands of its customers for an automated, cost-effective press that will support multi-product business models and ultra-short, as well as traditional, run lengths for newspaper, book and semi-commercial productions.

Project highlights

GOSS at PRINT 13 will also highlight its recent and upcoming projects which include Sunday web presses, a triple-width newspaper press at Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, GOSS-Ferag finishing solutions and creative aftermarket projects. Also, the company continues to expand its commitment to the packaging sector and will present updates on Sunday Vpak web offset presses during the expo, including the first installation in the US.

Chosen machine

GOSS Sunday press technology celebrated its 20th anniversary earlier this year. Large and small printers continue to choose these gapless-blanket press models for commercial, publication, catalogue and now packaging printing. GOSS has also seen an increase in Sunday press installations for retail inserts, direct mail and non-stop job and edition changes with GOSS Automatic Transfer (AT) technology.
