to present wide spectra of inks at drupa 2016

Sakata Inx (India) is all set to help print and visual communication professionals with its latest innovations in ink at drupa 2016. “From India, we are sending 28 executives to the expo, who will be travelling in sub-groups. As drupa happens once in four years, but in three years from the next edition onward, we always attend the show in a larger way to get maximum advantage with a mission to meet not only customers from India, but neighbours like Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh as well as others including Middle East, CIS, Africa and Eastern European countries," asserts VK Seth. Sakata is very much ahead in inkjet technology development.

“We have a large global market share, extending to visual communication segments, including LED and other applications. We are always on the lookout for newer developments and technologies meant for almost all printing segments,” mentions VK Seth. When enquired about new offerings from Sakata for the Indian customers at drupa 2016, he says that industry people in the country are showing more interest in regulatory rules for printing and packaging. “They are asking for positive list of ingredients in our products. So, this will be a focus area for us to discuss with them to offer products which are compliant with various standards,” tells VK Seth.

Wide showcase

Sakata Inx will display a wide range of superior, high performance inks for varied segments, including newspaper. The range will also include special effects inks and coatings for commercial printing, waterbased flexo inks for corrugated boards including non-slip varnish, high colour sheetfed inks, among others. The portfolio also includes Belle Color, Innova, Lamiall and Synergy lamination inks. These ink systems offer exceptional adhesion and bond strength, superior strength and resolubility, and excellent printability and heat resistance.

For commercial printers Sakata Inx will offer Energy Curable product options, which include UV LED and Low Energy inks. The company’s expertise in this area is second to none; the DreamCure and InxCure brands have produced unsurpassed print quality for years on a wide variety of paper, board, plastic and flexible substrates. “Inx UV LED and Low Energy ink systems are our newest success story. In addition to exceptionally fast curing rates, these inks provide superior colour stability on press, with less waste and colour variation throughout the run,” remarks VK Seth. For brand owners, designers and printers who concern with colour management and print quality, Sakata Inx will feature solutions for proofing and quality inspection. And for those looking to turn digital printing ideas into reality, the company is offering Direct-to-Object printing solutions, which is made possible by integration partners that utilise JetInx integrated imaging components, ink delivery systems and software. Digital printing solutions to be demonstrated at the stall of Sakata Inx at drupa 2016 will include modular single-pass automation; helix rotary inkjet technology and software for straight walled and tapered cylinders; a multi-pass conveyor belt scanning platform; and digital technologies for narrow web labels and film applications.
