DIC India offers new solutions

Being a leading ink supplier to the Indian newspaper industry that boasts a circulation of 400 newspaper titles, DIC India has a lot to unpack this drupa year. In a brief chat with ALL ABOUT NEWSPAPERS, Rishi Raj Bhaskar, GM-marketing, DIC India Ltd, reveals some fresh developments from their stable.

DIC Group has traditionally been a big participant in drupa, in terms of stall size and delegates. But this year, the company is sending only delegates to the fair, both from India and the group’s subsidiaries from other parts of the world. The Indian contingent to drupa 2016, according to Rishi Raj Bhaskar, will comprise key leaders of the company, such as business heads and technology team. The prime mission of DIC India is to be a preferred partner with the printing ink and allied customers, developed through innovative solutions catering to them. “There have been a range of new developments that happened globally in DIC Group. We at DIC India have been working closely with the country’s printing value chain to bring these offerings, solutions and products right to their doorsteps,” says Rishi Raj.

Headquartered in Japan, DIC Group has well-known subsidiaries like Sun Chemicals; and the group with its combined experiences in Europe and America, pan-Asia, is bringing a wide range of innovative product portfolio and technologies to India, serving their clients to the fullest satisfaction.

“We constantly strive for better understanding the dire needs of our Indian customers, which have not been properly met yet, in all segments. In this, we are in the process of launching the whole range of flexographic inks,” reveals Rishi Raj. DIC offers a complete solution, experience and expertise in the ‘pre-press to print’ part of the process. The company’s ultimate mission in this is to be a knowledge booster and provider of ‘colour and comfort’ to their customers. New offerings from DIC, according to Rishi Raj, will be water-based inks, having low migration, low odour, no toluene, no ketone as well as barrier adhesives, barrier coatings, brand protection designed compatibly for various printing technologies.

Talking about FY 2015, Rishi Raj said 2015 was a good year for DIC India. And, as long as they are a publicly listed company, further details about them are easily available for anyone interested in knowing. About the future plan of DIC India, he mentions that they are leveraging on their global research capabilities and knowledge to a great extent.
