OneVision’s subsidiary
in India commences operations



Continuing its successful expansion, OneVision, a global provider of prepress and premedia software solutions to printing and publishing industries, recently announced the official opening of a wholly owned subsidiary in India: OneVision Software India Pvt Ltd, having premises at the German Centre in Gurgaon (near New Delhi). Gyan Prakash, who has over twenty years of experience within the publishing industry, has been appointed as chief operating officer of the new subsidiary. Before joining OneVision, Gyan served as senior executive for Quark for about ten years and was responsible as vice president for Asia, Middle East and Africa markets since the year 2004.


After establishing the Singapore-based subsidiary OneVision Software (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd end of September 2009, it marks the second opening of an international office within less than a year. “India is one of the world’s largest and fastest growing markets for newspapers, and analysts do consider the Indian newspaper market as one of the most challenging markets worldwide. Furthermore, the magazine market in India is expected to grow parallelly. With our local presence in this important market, we shall be able to better serve our existing customers and expand our position significantly,” said Hussein Khalil, CEO of OneVision Software AG on the sidelines of WAN-IFRA conference in Jaipur.

Answering to a question, Khalil informed that OneVision has been able to achieve an average growth of 22 percent every year and for which part credit goes to our financial strength gained from our investors/promoters, thereby no bank lendings. Having satisfied customers number of over 4,000 worldwide, OneVision plans to increase staff strength to 175 from 140 as of now. Commenting on their product pricing, Khalil added, “OneVision doesn’t believe in high price policy but at the same time no cheap also, we do create values in our range of products including Asura, Solvero, Enterprise, Voyager, Mirado, Contenio, Ink Save, Amendo, Speedflow and Sicuriq.”
