Arch bishop blesses Pressline

Cardinal Alanchery inaugurated the new
PRESSLINE – PRIMA 36 multi colour
web offset printing machine and a sheet fed
offset KOMORI – LITHRON LS 25 and
laid the foundation stone for the proposed
new mega project Viani Print Arcade at
Choody near Alwaye in presence of the
auxillary bishop of Ernakulam Angamaly

at Viani Printings, Ernakulam North, Kochi.

The managing director of Viani Printings,
Fr Francis Arickal welcomed the gathering
and the asst director of Viani Printings and
principal of Viani Institute of Advanced
Printing Technology (ViAPT), Fr Dr Paul
Chakkian delivered the vote of thanks.
The arch bishop blessed the gathering
and the machines with sprinkling of holy
water. The major attraction for the august
gathering was the prints in colour coming
out of the Pressline folder and thereafter
the spontaneous print of the news and
pictures related to the inaugural function.

Viani Institute of Advanced Printing
Technology (ViAPT) is a continuation of
the printing school started in the year 1967.
Presently this Institute is functioning at
Viani Printings, Kochi and in near future
this will be upgrade as the printing college.
Fr Dr Paul Chakkian is the principal and
Kurias N Chacko, the New Indian Express
Group of Publications former production
manager and technical head of Kerala is
the dean of studies.
Speaking at the function Satish Bajwa
emphasised on the pivotal role printing
plays and said, “It is my great privilege
and pleasure that I am honoured to be here
in august presence of eminences.” “At the
outset I would like to congratulate Rev

and Rev Fr Paul Chakkian, Kurias, N
Chacko for taking the giant steps towards
the upgradation to bring Viani Printings to
greater heights. I also express my sincere

Presline Prima 36 has been installed
and being commissioned recently to join the
fleet of new machines at Viani Printings.
The Pressline's Prima is capable of printing
12-page newspaper, all in multi colour with
a few more colour combinations to print
16- or 20-page newspaper. The machine can
also print A4 size magazine signatures of
16- or 32-page all in colour. At this occasion
we assure our fullest co-operation to Viani
Printings at all the times to bring the best
possible results and smooth production on
our machines.
