Pride of India

As early as the mid-1990s, Manugraph presses gained international recognition as this leading Indian web offset manufacturer started exporting its indigenously manufactured newspaper presses to the US and some European countries. Over the years, the company has gained the status of a committed enterprise, because of its ability to meet the need of the industry by catering to choices of their customers with excellent service and cutting-edge technologies. Either in India or overseas, praises for Manugraph poured in as those clients who once agreed upon the company’s functionality and timing could relax, knowing well that India’s leading web offset manufacturer would deliver them ‘quality presses’ exactly as agreed upon.

Manugraph boasts of a state-of-the-art production plant of 138,800 sq m, which is well equipped for a gamut of technological innovations—which consist of testing lab, precision machining, accurate assembling and others. The company has developed a strong and cordial business partnership with clients, providing them constant satisfactory after-sale and other allied services. In India, Manugraph presses are present in nearly in all production facilities of major newspapers.

Global presence

As mentioned above, the company has a strong and wide presence in the overseas market too. A number of leading book and newspaper publishers in South Africa, South America, Europe, Middle East, Asia and the CIS countries have so far been adopted Manugraph presses.

Latest landmark global expansion of Manugraph took place recently with the company’s maiden entry into Japan, with the installation of the first Manugraph press in the country, at Kii Minpou Company, one of the leading newspaper printing groups in the Land of the Rising Sun. The first Manugraph press in Japan is a single-width 4-page web offset machine, which features two towers, two mono units and a spray dampening system with colour registration and a cut-off control system, designed to churn newspaper at the speed of 36,000 cph.

Moreover, in the book printing arena too, Manugraph has set a strong footprint. In this, the company’s M360-BK single width, single circumference press is a book printing workhorse. The press can run at the speed of up to 36,000 cph, meeting the optimum requirements of book printers. With its inbuilt flexibility, M360-BK is capable of printing quarter fold and double parallel fold products efficiently and the short web path of the press ensures excellent print quality in significantly reduced waste.

New vertical

Moving on a new front, Manugraph has recently tied-up with high-speed inkjet manufacturer Condot Systems. Through the technical collaboration, a Manugraph press can be converted into a ‘hybrid numbering’ system. This is indeed a cutting-edge solution that can make traditional web offset presses combined with digital HP thermal inkjet technology to add variable data and graphics to otherwise static pages, which in turn helps customers print serial numbers, repeat, skip, random numbers, print regular or two dimensional bar codes, RSS or complex codes without numbering or a bar coding tower.

Hybridisation of Manugraph press with Condot technology is anew way to keep presses running all the time, even when not in used for newspaper production, for other jobs like booklets, bank and educational forms and many such kinds. Such flexibility not only enhances the press, but also increases its productivity. Moreover, retrofitting facility of Manugraph presses with Condot inkjet technology is also available.

Label and packaging

Alongside the newspaper industry, yet another domain where Manugraph has strong presence is ‘label and packaging’, which the company caters complete solutions through its sister concern Multigraph Machinery and others. Multigraph Machinery is globally recognised for its line of label and packaging machines for wide web CI flexo presses, gravure printing machines, laminators and slitters, pouch and bag making machines, narrow web flexo press, intermittent offset label presses. With its head office in Mumbai, Multigraph Machinery has a network of branches across all major Indian cities and overseas.

Manugraph and its concerns believe that the key to maintaining sustained success is choosing the right technologies and applying them to build cost-effective quality machines. Constant modernisation and employment of state-of-the-art technologies has enabled the company to stay ahead in the industry, always.
