Eastern Media Limited renames as Sambad Group

Odisha’s largest media conglomerate Eastern Media Limited (EML), publisher of the widely-circulated Odia daily Sambad, has announced its new name as Sambad Group with new ‘logo’. Ranjan Patnaik, chairman of the group, unveiled the new logo in a recent occasion organised marking the third foundation day of Sambad. Present at the landmark occasion were the group’s MD Monica Nayyar Patnaik and executive director Tanaya Patnaik. Sambad has thirty regional offices, four printing centres, thirty three sales offices. Apart from the printed newspapers, the group has Odia magazines, a television news channel and two radio stations.
