Editorial Leaders Batch V scheduled in June 2019

Editorial Leaders’ initiative from the World Editors Forum and WAN-IFRA is a module-based training programme aimed at improving the knowledge of editors & journalists. The fifth batch of the programme is scheduled in June 2019. The programme will develop future-ready editorial leaders and help news publishers create a pool of talent for the future. The programme has trained more than 350 participants in the past four batches. The participants have gained insights about trends and challenges and improved their skills to face changing media landscape.

The modules are led by best-in-class trainers and addressed the new and changing needs of the readers with real time examples. The skills needed to engage them with the publisher’s brand and the ways to gain advantage over old and new competitors. Editorial Leaders Programme will have these modules: i) Digital Journalism and Social Media Applications (June 10-11, Mumbai), Module Leader: Corinne Podger, Digital Media Journalist, Australia; ii) News with Data (June 12-13, Mumbai), Module Leader: Rakesh Dubuddu, Founder, Factly.in; iii) Reporting for Mobile, by Mobile, (June 17-18, Chennai), Module Leader: Manon Verchot, American – French Video Journalists & her team; iv) Writing for print and online, June 19-20, Chennai, Module Leader: Murdoch Davis, Former Editor-in-Chief at various international publications, USA; v) Managing and leading creative newsrooms (June 21-22, Chennai), Module Leader: Michael Cooke, Former Editor, Toronto Star, Canada.
