Hindustan Times appoints new executive editor

Sachin Kalbag has been appointed as the executive editor of Hindustan Times. He will be based in Mumbai, reporting to the newspaper’s managing editor Soumya Bhattacharya. The editorial team of the newly elected Sachin will consist of Soumya, Sonal Kalra, Anup Gupta, Kunal Pradhan and Jose Tharakan. According to the newspaper’s editor-in-chief Sukumar Ranganathan, the team will be responsible for setting the editorial agenda for the larger Hindustan Times newsroom across the newspaper’s centres. Sachin was resident editor of The Hindu (Mumbai edition) earlier and he worked at Hindustan Times, Mail Today and Daily News and Analysis (DNA).
