Indian Printers Summit 2021 to reveal competency of print in digital era

After a gap of two years, Indian Printers Summit 2021 is all set to be held as in-person event on November 17 and 18 at ITC Grand Chola, Guindy, Chennai. The WAN-IFRA’s annual event in India for the print community takes a new format this year as it will be an invitation-only gathering.

Every edition of Indian Printers Summit is turned out to be platform where attendees learn from experts and they got the chance to meet with suppliers to review their upcoming products and services. The event venue this year is within the close proximity to many key areas of Chennai city and it is just eight km away from the domestic and international airport.

Best in Print Asia Awards

Indian Printers Summit 2021 will start with ‘Welcome and Best in Print Asia Awards’ on November 17 where attendees can meet and greet over dinner and recognise Asia’s best newspaper printers. The award showcases the publications’ ability to print at the highest quality according to international ISO standards (ISO 12647 & ISO 2846) and WAN-IFRA standards.

Next day

On November 18, there will be gathering for full day of networking and in-person meetings with product and solution providers to discuss business and the latest developments in the industry. There will also have the opportunity to learn and exchange ideas over two panels on cost and capex optimisation and innovation in product and process.

This year, the excitement in the air is all about meeting and connecting among peers after a gap of two years. On the first day, there will be the ‘Welcome and Opening’ session followed by panel discussion on ‘Optimising opex and capex—strategies that work best for managing assets and new investments.’ The panellists will consist of Bhatnagar RD, Chief Technology Officer, DB Corp Ltd; Shesh BS, Vice President, Supply Chain, HT Media; Lakshmivenkatraman RP, Former Head – Technical & Production, THG Publishing; and Amit Khurana, COO – Newspaper Group, TechNova, India.

The next session will be supplier meetings (pre-arranged). The panel discussion ‘Product and process innovation: Recalibrating our thinking prowess’ will have a panel of speakers comprising Snehasis C Roy, Director – Technical, Bennett Coleman Co Ltd; Pradyumna Mitra Mitra, General Manager -Engineering, ABP; Peter Britto, Deputy General Manager, The Times of India; and Subramanian Dr K Senior Vice President, Ashok Leyland. Closing session of the conference will mark with supplier meetings (pre-arranged).
