Jagran Q2 announces 39.2 percent up in revenue

Jagran Prakashan Limited (JPL), publishers of Dainik Jagran and others, has reported the financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2021. The company’s consolidated operating revenues for the quarter was up by 39.2 percent to Rs 402.53 cr from Rs 289.11 ce in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. Consolidated advertisement revenue from print, digital, and radio increased 48 percent to Rs 287.73 cr from Rs 195.05 cr. Circulation revenues rose 11 percent to Rs 87.83 cr from Rs 79.32 cr.

Print digital revenue, which is also included in advertisement revenue, was up 23.3 percent to Rs 15.90 cr from Rs 12.90 cr. Operating profit zoomed 237 percent to Rs 101.37 cr on a lower base of Rs 42.79 cr. Likewise, net profit stood at Rs 60.91 cr, an increase of 422.2 percent from Rs 11.66 cr. Commenting on the performance of the company for the quarter, Mahendra Mohan Gupta, CMD, Jagran Prakashan Limited (JPL), stated that all businesses have performed well, and they expect strong growth to continue.
