Sudan gets the first Manugraph Cityline

Sudan-based printing company, Dar El Ashigga, Khartoum has installed the country’s first Manugraph Cityline with a cut off of 578mm catering to the production of newspapers, tabloids, telephone directories and selected semi commercials. also the Manugraph India Ltd make Pneumatic Plate Bending System.

Kuwait Times opts Manugraph Cityline Express

Kuwait Times, a leading English newspaper in Kuwait, has bought a Manugraph Cityline Express for enhancement of consistency in the quality and production of the wide range of publications. The press length running 57m long has five-tower coldset press with future provision of heatset module. The plant can boast of a total output capacity of 32 page broadsheet with space saving design for unwind and a hoist for web handling. Besides it also offers FWS 64 - 2:3:2 folder with quarter fold facility, Autotron - QuadTech auto register and cut off control system and a dampening system from Technotrans Gama.D.250. Headed by Yousuf Saleh Alyan, The Kuwait Times, established in 1961, is the first English- language daily newspaper in the Persian Gulf. The thirty-six-page broadsheet provides in-depth reporting on local events and business news, analysis and editorials on local, regional, and international issues, and entertainment and sports news and features. The Kuwait Times also publishes a free fortypage tabloid, The Friday Times, the first in the country. A separate 16-page daily insert covering south Asia’s latest news, weekly Filipino panorama pages, the ‘Weekender,’ a special weekly fullcolour insert, the ‘Junior,’ specially designed for Kuwait’ youth is also part of their feature.

Manugraph DGM hits massive sales

Elizabethville-based Manugraph DGM, Inc has sold its new press equipment to The Paducah Sun (Paxton Media Group) and Graphic Developments, Inc. The Paducah Sun of Paducah, Kentucky, has purchased 16 units of the DGM Advantage II and one DGM 1240 folder. The press will be configured as four towers, and the DGM 1240 folder will feature a steep angle former and upper former. This new press, which will be delivered sometime in December 2007, is expected to give The Sun more colour ad pages for their advertisers. The press will also print their Total Market Coverage weekly as well. Besides, Graphic Developments, Inc of Hanover, Massachusetts has purchased four units of the DGM 430 press. Delivered in December 2006, the configuration of two two-highs with roll-stand is currently up and running. The new DGM 430 pressline is an add-on to their current pressline. Graphic Developments is a commercial printer that produces weekly and monthly trade publications in the real estate, banking, food, hockey industries, as well as several ethnic publications. Located in Elizabethville, PA, Manugraph DGM, Inc is a wholly owned subsidiary of Manugraph India Ltd, employing 205 persons within a 125,000 square foot manufacturing facility.

Printwell reaffirm its trust in Manugraph

Nairobi-based Printwell Industries corroborated its trust in Manugraph and installed Manugraph’s Cityline Express in February this year. The press configuration has an autopaster, one 4x4 Tower, 1 (2:2:2) folder with III fold. The plant has production possibility of 4 pages broadsheet/8 pages tabloid supplement as well as 16 pages textbook signature. Being a new entrant in the textbook printing business, currently this is mainly used to print four-colour textbook inside pages on 70 GSM Maplitho paper. Backed with a vast experience of 29 years in quality printing of advertising materials, posters, leaflets, brochures, calendars and labels, Ashok Seth is one of the two active partners of Printwell Industries, the other being Oliver De’Costa, a printing technologist. According to Ashok Seth of Modern Lithographics, “Being a user of Manugraph Shiva for last 5 years, we have not experienced any problem with Manugraph service oriented quality.” As per Oliver, “We booked the machine first and then visited the manufacturing plant of Manugraph in Kolhapur. This is only because we have trust towards Manugraph and were aware of their manufacturing capabilities.”
