Kuwait Times opts Manugraph Cityline Express
Kuwait Times, a leading English newspaper in
Kuwait, has bought a Manugraph Cityline Express
for enhancement of consistency in the quality and
production of the wide range of publications. The
press length running 57m long has five-tower
coldset press with future provision of heatset
module. The plant can boast of a total output
capacity of 32 page broadsheet with space saving
design for unwind and a hoist for web handling.
Besides it also offers FWS 64 - 2:3:2 folder with
quarter fold facility, Autotron - QuadTech auto
register and cut off control system and a dampening
system from Technotrans Gama.D.250.
Headed by Yousuf Saleh Alyan, The Kuwait
Times, established in 1961, is the first English-
language daily newspaper in the Persian Gulf. The
thirty-six-page broadsheet provides in-depth
reporting on local events and business news,
analysis and editorials on local, regional, and
international issues, and entertainment and sports
news and features.
The Kuwait Times also publishes a free fortypage
tabloid, The Friday Times, the first in the
country. A separate 16-page daily insert covering
south Asia’s latest news, weekly Filipino panorama
pages, the ‘Weekender,’ a special weekly fullcolour
insert, the ‘Junior,’ specially designed for

Manugraph DGM hits massive sales
Elizabethville-based Manugraph DGM, Inc has
sold its new press equipment to The Paducah
Sun (Paxton Media Group) and Graphic
The Paducah Sun of Paducah, Kentucky, has
purchased 16 units of the DGM Advantage II and
one DGM 1240 folder. The press will be configured
as four towers, and the DGM 1240 folder will
feature a steep angle former and upper former.
This new press, which will be delivered sometime
in December 2007, is expected to give The Sun
more colour ad pages for their advertisers. The
press will also print their Total Market Coverage
weekly as well.
Besides, Graphic Developments, Inc of Hanover,
Massachusetts has purchased four units of the
DGM 430 press. Delivered in December 2006,
the configuration of two two-highs with roll-stand
is currently up and running. The new DGM 430
pressline is an add-on to their current pressline.

Printwell reaffirm its trust in Manugraph
Nairobi-based Printwell Industries corroborated its
trust in Manugraph and installed Manugraph’s
Cityline Express in February this year. The press
configuration has an autopaster, one 4x4 Tower,
1 (2:2:2) folder with III fold. The plant has
production possibility of 4 pages broadsheet/8
pages tabloid supplement as well as 16 pages
textbook signature. Being a new entrant in the
textbook printing business, currently this is mainly
used to print four-colour textbook inside pages
on 70 GSM Maplitho paper.
