Net profit of The Express Group stands at Rs 19.2 cr

The Express Group has announced its operating income of Rs 462.6 cr in FY19. According to media reports, the newspaper group garners net profit of Rs 19.2 cr in the period. The profit in the previous fiscal was Rs 33.2 cr. As per the reports, it was stated that the company’s ad revenue growth has been hit due to the government order in 2018 that no longer mandated publication of tender ads in printed newspapers. The Express Group is publisher of English and Hindi dailies viz. The Indian Express, The Financial Express, Jansaata and Lokstatta.
