Prabhat Khabar marching ahead in line with times & trends

Leading Hindi daily Prabhat Khabar, which has a solid readership base in eastern India, initiated a digital presence a few years ago. Today, the newspaper boasts of more than 55 million page views and user base of above 21 million. It is quite active on multiple platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Telegram.

Prabhat Khabar studios recently launched two short films which have received good response from viewers. The film ‘Chhat Puja with COVID Era’ was screened in one of the popular multiplexes in Ranchi. On Daughters Day, the newspaper released a video campaign titled ‘Desh Ki Shaan, Betiyan Hai Aapka Abhiman’. The entire digital team of Prabhat Khabar was behind the making of the video based on daughters. Some members of the team wrote the script and also acted in the video. The newspaper is now marching ahead, keeping in line with the times and trends.

An act of kindness

Contributing its responsible bit to the society for the safety and wellbeing of general public in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal during the pandemic times, Prabhat Khabar distributed face masks, sanitisers and conducted periodic vaccination camps. The benevolent act was part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, meant for helping everyone around that includes the readers, staff and partners.

In Bihar, Prabhat Khabar distributed more than seven lakh face masks free of cost which were enclosed with an edition. The move continued with Jharkhand and Kolkata editions of the newspaper. During the unprecedented times of COVID crisis, the newspaper played a vital role to educate its readers the significance of face mask and safety protocols.

Apart from free face masks, Prabhat Khabar deeply concerned about the basic need of their hawkers who exist at the bottom end of the society. Every single hawker distributing the newspaper got free ration as part of the newspaper’s scheme to provide relief to the underprivileged people during the pandemic times.

During the peak pandemic times, Prabhat Khabar always ensured the full safety of its staff working in all branches. All the employees were provided with free hand sanitisers and face masks. In addition, the newspaper also supplied oxygen concentrators to government hospitals in Ranchi. Periodic vaccination camps are conducted for Prabhat Khabar readers, hawkers, partners and their family members, ensuring faster vaccination and safer world for all.
