PRAKASH unveiling NEWSLIGHT 40 COMPACT at PRINTPACK INDIA 2019

When it comes to unique features of NEWSLIGHT 40 COMPACT, this new 700 mm wide PRAKASH web offset press has robust frame structure providing more stable runnability and printability as well as long machine life with ample working space. “This special size of the press helps to reduce production cost by optimum use of power consumption and consumables like blanket, rubber rollers, ink, cleaning material, etc,” mentions RP Singla.

NEWSLIGHT 40 COMPACT stands unique and distinguished from any conventional press. RP Singla emphasises that NEWSLIGHT is different by its features like compact H type print unit/towers, plate and blanket cylinders with auto lubricated bearers mounted with precision class taper roller bearing, easy plate and blanket lockup system. He adds, “Mechanical clutch of the press is provided on print unit drive shaft with shear keys for safety. The machine is operator friendly as well as ease

for mechanical and electrical observation/maintenances. For safety of print unit against paper jam, web brake detectors with web severing device are provided.”

All 8 printing couples in NEWSLIGHT 40 COMPACT are equipped with +/-3mm individual lateral and circumferential potentiometer feedback based register system, which allows getting exact correction in single stroke. The registration system of the press is very fast and precise, which leads to less startup waste.

NEWSLIGHT 45 Folder works on three cylinder principle with 2:2:2 ratio which makes it very robust and reliable in terms of consistent performance and accuracy during production with minimum level of maintenance and consumables required. “The folder is capable to handle 8 webs at the speed of 45000 iph up to second fold with very good tension control and folding accuracy. Because of non-contact type folding and gripping mechanism there is no irritating sound and set-off marks of gripper on second fold of copy,” explains RP Singla.

He adds, “NEWSLIGHT 45 Folder is equipped with all latest required features like PIV driven outfeed and RTF rollers, long former at 700 with air cushion, double set of TC coated draw runners to avoid nipping marks, diameter adjustment facility on folding cylinder, underfold and overfold adjustment option, pin gap adjustment option, easy engage/disengage clutch, safety features like web server with multi-sheet detection, shear key on drive for protection, proper cover and guards, etc.”

NEWSLIGHT 40 COMPACT will be launched at the PRINTPACK INDIA 2019, which is scheduled to be held from February 1-6 at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR.
