Sports Illustrated joins hands with The Hockey News to launch revamped print edition

Sports Illustrated, an American sports magazine published by Authentic Brands Group, has unveiled a revamped print edition, marking the publication’s first official monthly issue, after collaboration with The Hockey News. The publication adopted a monthly frequency, following digital publisher Maven’s takeover of its media operations. The magazine starts printing on larger, heavier paper stock, with perfect binding. Its partnership with The Hockey News gains them to cover hockey on a national and local level cross-platform— print, digital, video and audio. As part of the deal, The Hockey News will move its digital presence to the Maven’s platform. Maven is home to more than 300 brands, including Maxim, Ski Magazine, Biography.com and History.com and reaches more than 100 million monthly users.
