The Scottish Sun introducing three new radio stations

The Scottish Sun has revealed its plan to make a venture into radio in partnership with Wireless Group in 2018 with three new digital stations each tailored to unique audiences. News Scotland has previously worked with Wireless Group in piloting Scottish Sun pop-up radio stations The Scottish Summer Sun and The Scottish Sun Xmas Radio. The three channels are as follows: Scottish Sun Hits, Scottish Sun 80s and Scottish Sun Greatest Hits.
To promote the brave new push into radio, the publisher will roll out a marketing campaign that will culminate in promotional activity in its stable of newspapers that has a combined monthly reach of a reported 2.6m adults. The two companies have a working relationship, both delivering talk Sport’s take on Scottish football. These three new stations will launch in 2018, making up three of Wireless Group’s nine planned new entities.
