The Washington Post has launched a new white label app Arc in Toronto, with first implementation by Globe and Mail. The new version of the app is compatible with iPhone and iPad, with an Android version coming in weeks, offering speed and stability with full access to all articles and sections and control of subscriber-only features and a new home section for latest news. Font sizes in the app are adjustable and stories can be saved for offline. The app can also offer alerts to breaking news and in-app purchases for subscribers. Arc has been building its client base for the Arc suite.
