Amar Ujala launches 22nd edition from Shimla

On September 1, 2022, Amar Ujala formally launched its 22nd edition at Shoghi, Shimla. It is the leading Hindi daily’s endeavour to reach out to new geographies. Prior to this landmark launch of the Shimla edition, the newspaper had a total of 21 editions in six states viz, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh and two union territories of Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, covering 180 districts. Tanmay Maheshwari, Managing Director of Amar Ujala Group and Group President Varun Maheshwari were present at the graceful launch event at Shimla. The Shimla office of the newspaper is located at an altitude of about 5,700 feet above sea level. Amar Ujala has a long relationship with Himachal Pradesh as the newspaper entered the state with the launch of Chandigarh edition on July 20, 1999.
