Dainik Bhaskar draws plan for Bihar expansion

After touching countrywide circulation of 55 lakh copies, Dainik Bhaskar plans to further push itself in Bihar. The Hindi daily, according to Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC), was circulating more than 38 Lakh copies on an average between January-June 2016, beating Dainik Jagran that circulated around 36 lakh on average during the same period. Considered to be one of the largest circulated Hindi dailies in India, Dainik Bhaskar, is aiming at achieving the target circulation of 59 lakh copies by December this year, with deeper focus on Bihar.

In the year 2014, Dainik Bhaskar entered Bihar with the launch of its Patna edition. In the very subsequent year, the newspaper further penetrated in the northern state and launched three more editions in three cities, viz. Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur and Gaya. As on today, Dainik Bhaskar Group is present in 12 states with 65 print editions in Hindi, English, Marathi and Gujarati, along with 13 digital editions having 1.9 billion collective page-viewers across all portals of the newspaper group.
