Since its inception in 2008 with a mission to provide innovative and value for money auxiliary equipments and tailor-made solutions to the web offset press users in the newspaper and book printing industry, GRAFIMPEX boasts of a complete portfolio comprising web offset presses, reel track systems, auto splicers, auto registration systems, ink pumping and supply systems, mailroom solutions (with conveyors, stackers and strapping systems) and a line of accessories such as online-sheeters, online glue applicators, online three side trimmers, so on.
When it comes to press installation, GRAFIMPEX has so far installed 22 web offset press lines in 20 countries over the last five years. In India, the company mainly supplies auxiliary equipment to more than 50 customers which include a host of leading newspaper and book printing houses. “Our footprints spread across the remotest part of the country, which means we have customers in every nook and corner of India. For example, Nagaland Post, one of the largest circulated English dailies in North-East India, published from Dimapur in Nagaland, is a client,” mentions Yogesh, adding that they maintain a complete range of products and solutions that meet every bit of demand in the newspaper printing market.
Mailroom solutions from GRAFIMPEX are widely acclaimed among newspaper houses in India. The company has joined hands with MM Technologies to manufacture and sell a versatile range of stackers under the brand ‘Stallion’ for newspaper houses. So far, over the last four years, they have completed 60 projects. “Every installation of stacker is tailor-made to the need of our customer as the system consists of vertical stream lifting conveyors, horizontal conveyors, 90 degree flow turns, online and offline strapping systems,”explains Yogesh.
Stallion stackers have been installed in the mailrooms of a handful of newspapers such as Hindustan Times, Dainik Bhaskar, Eenadu, Sandesh, Navbharat, Andhra Jyothi, Lokmat, Nagaland Post, Amar Ujala, Rajasthan Patrika and others.
In addition, GRAFIMPEX has built up capability to offer specially engineered solutions, which include UV ready press options, odd size cut-off presses, small web width printing units with online sheeting and special folding options allowing customersto diversify into semi-commercial and commercial segments with the same equipment.
Prime UVIR from GRAFIMPEX has been a widely acclaimed UV curing system available in both domestic and international markets. There have been more than 200 tower installations with the UV curing systems of single and double-wide capabilities. Some of the major newspapers using UVIR system include The Times of India, Andhra Jyothi, Murasu Publications, Dinamalar, Lokmat and others.
