The Independent expands US operation

New development at The Independent with the US West Coast editor’s role is a new one, and Philip’s appointment to it, having previously been a senior editor in New York demonstrates the Independent’s commitment to the US and to the West Coast, says the company. Philip will oversee a team of reporters on news, tech, entertainment and lifestyle operating across the West Coast, but anchored from the LA office. Jenna Amatulli, who joins from Jezebel, will take up Philip’s previous role as assistant editor in New York.
