The second largest expo in the world, after IFRA Expo in Europe, for trends and practices in news publishing industry, WAN-IFRA Expo India 2011 will be held during September 06-08 at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai. It is the third time that the expo in India, which follows biennial cycle, will be organised in the metropolitan city of Chennai.
Already a lot of exhibitors have welcomed the decision to organise the Expo in Chennai and the expo booth bookings have started. Exhibitors covering the entire gamut of newspaper production, both in print and new media, will be present. The Expo expects to attract more than 3,000 visitors from the industry.
The Nineteenth Annual Conference, WAN-IFRA India 2011 will accompany the Expo at the same venue. This year, the conference will have three parallel summits including: Printing Summit, Newsroom Summit and Cross Media Advertising Summit. The summits follow WAN-IFRA’s global events of the same title and custom extended to South Asia. The conference will look into some of the hot button issues impacting the news publishing industry in the region and provide a guide to the future. WAN-IFRA South Asia also invites papers to be presented at the conference in Chennai. Papers appropriate to the theme of the conference will be chosen by the programme committee.
