Porto Alegre (Brazil) based,
Zero Hora has recently ordered
three Ferag inserting lines
with RollSertDrum technology,
RollStream, MultiDisc and
MultiStack. This deal is a part of Zero
Hora’s major investment project with
a high state-of-the-art printing center
in the suburbs of Porto Alegre.
The entering of industrial
newspaper post
processing comes as the
answer to the strongly
growing commercial
inserts. With the three
Ferag inserting lines Zero
Hora now wants to focus
this market offensively.
Each RollSertDrum
produces offline, while the
interface between the
presses and the inserting
systems is secured by the
MultiDisc winding
technology.
Zero Hora already has an
extension of the system
in mind. To get more profit out of
the overall production technology
by producing semi-commercials,
they have planned to integrate a
StreamStitch and a trimming drum
SNT-U into one of the three Ferag
lines. Zero Hora belongs to the RBS
group and publishes the two tabloid
dailies - Zero Hora, with 180000
copies and Diario Gaucho, with
200000 copies.
According to Cristiano Nygaard,
technical director of Zero Hora,
“Ferag is the convincing partner
with regard of the highly intelligent
concept and the consulting
competence. They have given us
unique possibilities to extend the
system step by step and according
to the growing needs of the market.
Thus, todays technology will keep
its high value even for tomorrows
challenges. Furthermore, Ferag has
offered a solution, which allows
us, to reach a maximum of
performance by a minimum of
equipment.”
