HP demonstrates the potential of Scalable Printing Technology at drupa

Further showcasing the
potential of Scalable Printing
Technology, HP demonstrated
a 36-inch version of the HP
Inkjet Web Press, which runs at
speeds of up to 400 feet (122 meters)
per minute at 600 x 600 dots per inch
output – producing up to 3,200 A4
pages per minute at drupa. A key
feature of the demonstration was
finishing solutions, enabling endto-
end production in HP target
markets for high-volume inkjet.
These solutions are available from
EMT, Hunkeler, MBO, Muller
Martini and Pitney Bowes.
The HP Inkjet Web Press increases
print productivity as well as lowers
the cost of printing for high-volume
markets. Revitalizing wasteful, lowmargin,
analog-driven printing
processes, the newly introduced
digital printing platform offers an
unprecedented combination of print
width, colour quality and
productivity for graphic arts
industry in the direct mail,
transactional and transpromotional
printing, book publishing and
newspaper industries.

Vyomesh Joshi further explained,

analog to digital conversion, digital

commitment to customer success.
Accordingly, they have brought: HP
inkjet web press – printing
newspapers apart from books or
transactional like documents, HP
Designjet L65500 Latex Printer,
three new Indigo digital presses,
enhanced Indigo 5500 press, new
HP original media, HP SmartStream
digital workflow portfolio, HP Indigo
Print Care, and HP Scalable printing
technology.”
