12th Family Mega Car Rally 2012 in New Delhi
In order to increasingly engage readers, most of the major newspaper and magazine publishers have been taking various initiatives, providing an opportunity to make readers realize the brand strengths apart from knowing their expectations from these publications. On the same line, the most popular women's fortnightly magazine from Delhi Press group, Woman's era also organizes such an interesting event: Family Mega Car Rally. Recently the magazine organized its 12th edition in New Delhi, with participation of a large number of families.
Women?s Era organizes this event every year with a purpose to promote the togetherness in the families, to bring them at a platform for celebration through some exciting and challengeable yet full of fun and achievable task. Since 2001, over 2,200 cars and families have participated in this event. And many celebrities and personalities have been part of the family mega car rally.
On the occasion of the Family Mega Car Rally 2012, the excitement was quite visible when 200 families reached with their decorated cars with different themes to experience the real fun of car rally. To give a solid boost to the spirit of Delhiites, Savita Gupta, mayor of South Delhi arrived to flag off the car rally at the venue. Almost 600 people were present at the sporting event along with many celebrities like Vandana Vadhera, Pratap Batra, etc.
Prizes worth Rs 30 lakh were distributed to the participants. The process of participation was very simple since anyone could participate by paying a nominal fee of Rs 1,500 per family, with minimum of two persons participating.
On the occasion Neeta Sobti of Woman?s Era said, ?This is our 12th family mega car rally and we are really happy to see the excitement of people which is much bigger than that of last few years, giving us a real potential to organize car rally every year.?
