HT Media reaffirms its faith in manroland
-installs R700 HiPrint in Noida facility to cater commercial and advertising jobs
Further strengthening existing association, HT Media, India’s second largest media house and publisher of the Hindustan Times, one of the country’s largest read English newspapers, has purchased a brand new R700 HiPrint from manroland for their Noida printing facility, to cater commercial and advertising jobs market apart from printing their own sheetfed products. This is yet another feather in manroland’s cap after its successful stint with HT Media in the newspaper web offset sector.



Keeping in mind the high quality and innovative requirement for their commercial printing unit, HT Media was looking for a specifically versatile press offering short makeready times that could also deliver constantly outstanding quality. The R700 HiPrint suits the above requirements perfectly, as it has been especially designed to provide high quality and efficient print production. The press can be upgraded with several additional features to provide customised solutions to the clients whenever need arises.

The R700 HiPrint for HT is a five-colour sheetfed offset press with coater, distribution commencement remote-controlled Press Center and Ionization Kersten basic configuration. The printing system is equipped with TelePresence which permits fast remote diagnosis when service is needed and the TelePresence Maintenance Manager module provides individualized, condition-oriented press maintenance. Additionally, the R700 HiPrint is loaded with value-added features such as the quick change coating allowing the press to be changed from UV to dispersion coating within fifteen minutes and the unique AirGlide delivery enabling to produce perfectly even stacks at high press speeds, owing to the particularly flat sheet ascent and long sheet stabilization path.

HT Media has been manroland equipments user since 2001 and owing to their rewarding partnership with the company in newspaper printing and its uncompromising service standards decided in favour of manroland’s proven printing technological expertise in the sheetfed domain as well. They currently possess a Regioman and three Colorman printing systems among others at their various plants across the country.

HT Media publishes a wide range of media products including Hindustan Times (English) and Hindustan (Hindi), which have a combined daily circulation of 2.25 million copies and a readership base of 12.4 million readers to their credit. In addition, the company also publishes a national business newspaper, Mint. It is a one-of-its-kind newspaper wherein HT Media has an exclusive agreement with the Wall Street Journal. To cater to the large readership base, the company operates nineteen printing facilities across India with an installed capacity of 1.5 million copies per hour.
