Newstech becomes distributor for
Mitsubishi’s newspaper presses in India

apan-based Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, a Fortune 500 company, recently announced the appointment of Mumbai-based Newstech (India) Pvt Ltd as their distributor in India, for their newspaper offset presses.

Mitsubishi has been manufacturing printing presses since 1960. While Newstech has been serving the newspaper technology market in India since 1985 and has introduced many new technologies to streamline and enhance newspaper production, being distributor for some world leaders like NELA (Germany), Schur-WAMAC (Denmark), Betz Technology (Germany) and DSC (Germany), with a sound installation as well as after sales service support.

“This new association will help us service the big emerging double-width printing machine requirements with the synergies of both companies,” commented Takashi Uchiu, sales director, Mitsubishi, Japan. “With the technologies available at Mitsubishi, from Rocket Science to power generation, we at Newstech feel that we would have the greatest flexibility in adapting the existing press range to suit the demanding Indian market,” added Roy Alex, managing director, Newstech India.
