Q.I. Press Controls and TPH
celebrate successful long-standing partnership

For over the last fifteen years, Q.I. Press Controls-EAE (QIPC-EAE) has been active in India, roping in a number of newspaper houses and web offset press manufacturers into its clientele, which include The Printers House (TPH) as a highly valued partner. Get a glance of the tie of development between (QIPC-EAE) and TPH.

During the course of its presence in India over the last one and a half decades, QIPC-EAE, which is known for highly competent measurement and control systems for web offset presses, has closely been tied up with a number of leading newspaper houses and web offset manufacturers in the country. Among the long-term clients of the company is The Printers House (TPH), a leading manufacturer of single width, single circumference web offset presses, which are popular not only India but in the overseas markets, as well.

TPH’s Orient range of web offset printing presses are recognised at international level. In addition to its unrivalled machines, the company is uniquely recognised for its on-time services. A number of newspaper houses in overseas countries are churning their dailies and other editions on Orient presses. This widely acclaimed Indian web offset machine manufacturer has recently been celebrated its long-stranding partnership with QIPC-EAE.

Stalwart support

To mark the fifteen years of their collaboration, QIPC-EAE had recently presented TPH with a commemorative figure. The presentation provided a fitting moment to reflect on the achievements they have together gained over the past years. In this respect, Vijay Pandya, MD, QIPC-EAE India, said, “TPH has always given us a stalwart support in India. He added, “At trade fairs, for example, they’ve allowed us to demonstrate our automation systems on their presses. What’s more, they’ve always put in a good word for QIPC-EAE among their customers.”

Bridge-building

“We have a very special working relationship with QIPC-EAE. In the beginning, the collaboration of course was with QIPC, with the later addition of their newly acquired EAE. Our job was to build bridges between the needs of typical Indian customers and QIPC-EAE. We have always tried to convince clients of the quality inspections carried out by QIPC-EAE, because we are convinced of their value too,” said LK Sharma, CEO, TPH. After all, QIPC-EAE has always been in effort to meet the expectations of TPH by constantly seeking out new innovations.

Reliability at affordable cost

Vijay makes reference to several of the projects that QIPC-EAE has carried out with TPH, both in and outside India, which give them abiding satisfaction. “For example, our installation at the National Media Group in Kuwait, the largest printing press that TPH has ever sold, was completed with our automation systems. In the domestic domain, there have also been numerous installations at leading newspaper houses, such as Lokmat as well as Amar Ujala where we have installed our automation systems on the newspaper’s seven-tower Orient 45000 press."

Revealing the latest installation of QIPC-EAE systems, Vijay says they have installed their systems at Deshabhimani, where the automation systems have been mounted on Orient 36000 and 50000 presses. From a similar angle, LK Sharma also looked back with immense satisfaction at the fully automated installation at Punch Nigeria in Nigeria. “Nevertheless, the key highlight for both of us has been our continued ability to provide reliable quality, whilst at the same time reducing operational costs for our clients,” added LK Sharma.

Joint innovation

Both QIPC-EAE and TPH are together looking at the future with full of confidence on more innovations. “Trust is an important basis for sustaining an intensive collaboration, such as the one between QIPC-EAE and TPH,” asserts LK Sharma, adding, “That trust is enshrined in a reliable product, optimum costs for the user and excellent after-service support.” In this, the constant quest for product improvements plays a vital role. Vijay agrees, “You have to have a good understanding of each other’s products. In addition, there must be mutual respect and trust, from senior management level right down to the shop floor. Last but not the least, you have to be ready and willing to respond to the needs of clients and innovate together. Our relationship has been built in this fashion and we both see a bright future together.”

QIPC–EAE is the result of the acquisition of EAE by Q.I. Press Controls in 2014. Q.I.
