Music magazine MOJO celebrates John Lennon

Bauer Media’s MOJO, one of the UK’s biggest-selling music magazines, is celebrating John Lennon on what would have been his 85th birthday, with an exclusive cover-mounted CD featuring previously unreleased tracks from the new John Lennon and Yoko Ono box set — a must-have for collectors and Lennon fans alike. According to the publisher, Power To The People is a MOJO sampler CD including versions of Come Together, Instant Karma! (We All Shine On), Cold Turkey, Well Well Well, and more previously unreleased Lennon recordings. Inside the magazine, readers can also discover the untold story of Lennon’s radicalisation in New York’s West Village (1971–73) and the music that emerged from that era.

The new issue, put up on sale on October 4, also features an exclusive interview — MOJO’s first in well over a decade — with Bruce Springsteen, covering the new Nebraska box set, and much more, Bauer Media continued. Elsewhere, MOJO delivers deep features on music icons Jimi Hendrix and Prince: Hendrix trips out on Axis: Bold As Love, while Prince rewrites the rulebook with Around The World In A Day. Lucinda Williams takes centre stage in The MOJO Interview, and the new Beatles Anthology is reviewed in depth.
