Maury Imprimeur in France retrofits IDCsmart on maroland goss M600 press
Maury Imprimeur is France’s largest commercial printer. It is renowned for printing premium quality magazines, catalogues and books. At its production site in Manchecourt is a manroland Goss M600 web offset press, which has been delivering reliable performance for over 20 years. The web offset press has been retrofitted with InlineDensity Control smart (IDCsmart) system.
Maury Imprimeur produces many of France’s most prominent weekly and monthly magazines – including their high-end covers. With increasing demands for colour quality, production stability, and cost-efficiency, the manroland Goss M600’s existing colour control system was reaching its limits. The technology had become outdated, spare parts were hard to source, and the system could no longer meet current quality assurance requirements. To ensure the long-term viability of the press, Maury Imprimeur decided to retrofit the obsolete colour control system.
As part of the modernisation, the M600 was equipped with manroland Goss’s InlineDensity Control smart (IDCsmart) system. Combined with new ink fountain modules and a new Omnicolor control console, the retrofit enables highly precise, automated color control – directly during the running production.
This investment not only ensures consistently high print quality, but also strengthens production reliability and reduces waste at Maury Imprimeur’s production site in Manchecourt. Precise colour control is a decisive key to success, especially for demanding print productions such as magazine covers.
