Capable to churn 40,000 CPH, the press is based on blanket-to-blanket principle to print on both sides of the newsprint. With its H unit format, CRUSADER is capable of 2×2 colour printing. When two such H units are stacked on each other, it produces 4×4 colour printing on the either side of newsprint.

When it comes to space saving, CRUSADER 4×4 vertical towers integrated with autopasters is the best and substantially cost effective solution. The press is suitably designed for mid-size production and for those production houses, churning newspapers for daily circulation ranging from 80,000 to 1,20,000 copies that too with seven to eight editions. In addition, CRUSADER is designed ergonomically, and due to the smartly arranged positions of printing cylinders, the press has succeeded in avoiding operators’ cumbersome postures while loading and unloading plates.

Trend nowadays in newspaper production is heading towards churning all four-colour pages. In this, controlling web tension and accurate colour registration have become a crucial factor for press operators. Making ease of all such constrains CRUSADER gives stable print register as compared to traditional way of placing 1×1 or 2×1 colour units in line or even vertical and increasing the web path.

They have even started to consider the overall benefits, which include quality, productivity, ease of operation and after-sale service of the manufacturer. CRUSADER caters all these benefits and Sigmarq Technologies has been keen on after-sale service since it started serving its customers dotted across total length and breadth of the country.

It’s not that users look at a machine, only in one aspect. There are diverse aspects related to reliability, dependability and productivity, which are all fulfilled with CRUSADER and its other aggregates like Autopaster and Folder. The machine maintains to balance all these aspects. Moreover, Sigmarq could list remote ink control with segmented ink blades, spray dampening systems (replacing existing conventional dampening methods), gluing at the spine of the folded signatures, inline numbering systems, automatic web threading system and so on.

Though India has been the primary focus market for CRUSADER, Sigmarq Technologies started selling presses in the overseas markets such as Kenya, three years ago, where it’s being used for book printing. The company is now planning to further explore other African and South East Asian countries. Next step plan of Sigmarq is to launch a new 50,000 cph press called MAXIMUS, shortly and also the easy to operate book printing press at the soonest date.
