Hearst titles show soaring cross-platform growth

In its latest Magazine Media 360° Brand Audience Report, MPA – The Association of Magazine Media announced growth among its 110 magazines across all three platforms — web, mobile and video — in 2018, compared to the prior year. Hearst was the publisher with the most brands on the list, with seven: Elle Décor (129 percent growth compared to the year prior), Cosmopolitan (71 percent), Town & Country (70 percent), House Beautiful (56 percent), Harper’s Bazaar (46 percent), Esquire (37 percent) and Road & Track (33 percent).

MPA has revealed that 13 brands had notable overall online growth. It further says this growth is ‘bucking the trend of declining web traffic in favour of mobile and video growth. Travel publication Afar led the pack with 167 percent growth across online platforms in 2018, compared to a year ago.

Afar was followed by Elle Décor (129 percent) and American Media, Inc.’s Men’s Journal (122 percent), Taste of Home (Trusted Media Brands, 38 percent), Saveur (Bonnier, 30 percent), Fast Company (Mansueto Ventures, 20 percent) and Food & Wine (Meredith Corp., 13 percent) were also on the list.
